welcoming a new year...
#1
The defunct beholder
But I don’t feel it slipping away
It’s gently observed
Ever passive to my fixations
Some droning monologue becomes
Self fulfilling,
Conspiring for doom -
How does it feel to be satiated?
No fallacy overdue
To accept the gift of present
Perpetual boredom,
A curse for the spoilt
Sundry of resources
So paralysed by such.
Where I lack, it is forgiveness
Revoking my rights of expression
Preferring to be innocuous
With promises of certainty
I relent
#2
A sense of oneness
Merges to other
So deeply
Understood
Yet unfaithful in
My caricature.
[This spiral is deep-faked]
I represent myself
In a court of law
Comprising mental square miles
Fluent only by moral code
And obscured by simply being -
A scale is never equal
Another day now lost.
